U.S Rep. Mike Collins, a Republican representing Georgia District 10, kicked off his campaign for Senate at a rally in Butts County on Tuesday.
Collins emphasized his loyalty to President Donald Trump’s policies to a crowd of over 400 at a ranch in Jackson, Ga.

“With President Trump in the White House and me in the U.S. Senate, the hardworking men and women of this country will not be forgotten anymore,” he said.
He touted his sponsorship of the Laken Riley Act, an immigration law named after a Georgia nursing student killed by an immigrant without legal status.
Democrats held a protest against Collins in his district the day before the kickoff. Collin’s is one of three Republicans running to unseat Democrat and current Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff in 2026.
Monica Walters from Lamar County said she is excited to vote for Collins.
"You can see that he is sincere and he wants this job as senator," she said.
Collins' pastor spoke at the rally, as well as Georgia Sen. Russ Goodman, and the campaign played a video of U.S. Senator Burgess Owens endorsing Collins.
