DeLoach, Foster, Durrence Take Savannah Runoffs

Supporters of Eddie DeLoach celebrated last night after he defeated incumbent Mayor Edna Jackson in Savannah’s runoff election.

In a brief victory speech to his supporters, DeLoach said Jackson has worked hard as Mayor. "And it’s really important for the electorate as well as the candidates to realize we are all here together for the same thing," he said. "We want a better Savannah."

Brian Foster won the runoff election for Alderman-at-large post 2 against Alicia Blakey.

And in District 2, Bill Durrence defeated incumbent Mary Osborne.
