Do Savannah editor Heather Henley and Visit Savannah social media manager Lauren Cleland offer up some ways to have fun in Savannah this weekend.

Lauren’s picks:

-Enjoy an evening of Americana and folk music with the latest in Trinity United Methodist Church’s Thursday Night Opry series. Pretend Sweethearts will take the stage with local acts Black Water Choir and The Seaboard Stompers, all performing opry-style around a single microphone. Thursday, 7 p.m.; $10.

-Spend Friday night in awe of the theatrics of 20 Penny Circus, performing at the Jinx. The group’s mix of old-school circus sideshow routines and bits with a more modern flair have shot them to prominence on the national stage. Savannah Sweet Tease will follow up the circus with their signature brand of burlesque. Friday, 9 p.m.; $10.

-Check out some martial arts action on the big screen with the Lucas Theatre’s weekend celebrating Bruce Lee. Friday it’s his breakout film Enter the Dragon, then on Saturday it’s Game of Death. Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m.; $9 general admission, $6 students/senior/military.

Heather’s picks:

-If you’re always wishing your dog could come along for a night out downtown, now’s your chance: the Pup Crawl is all about the dogs. Start off at the Rail Pub to get your map and souvenir cup, then take fido along for drinks at eight downtown bars and restaurants. Thursday, 6:30-9:30 p.m.; $15.

-Get healthy the fun way at the Youth for a Cleaner Environment Healthy Kids Walk and health fair. Gather at the Forsyth Park Band Shell for the walk, as well as dance groups, a hula hoop contest and a healthy cooking demonstration. Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; free.

-Keep the family fun going with the Cool Communities in Hot Savannah street fair at Wells Park. The fair will feature live music, free food and the debut of the Forsyth Farmers Market’s Farm Truck 912. Saturday, 2-7 p.m.; free.

-Break out your Hula best for the Everybody Gets Lei’d bar crawl Saturday. The event to benefit the Savannah Professional Firefighters Association starts at Barrelhouse South, and crawlers are encouraged to show up in beachwear to fit the theme. Saturday, 5-11 p.m.; $15 ahead, $20 day-of.
