It’s Valentine’s weekend, and whether you’re celebrating or avoiding all things pink, Molly Swagler of the Tourism Leadership Council and Bevin Valentine Jalbert of Paprika Southern have plenty of tips for a great weekend.

Bevin’s picks:

-Art lovers will enjoy the first solo show presented by Roots Up Gallery, featuring Alabama artist Michael Banks. He’ll be on hand at the opening reception for this 10-year retrospective of his work curated by the Hurn Museum. Thursday, 5-8 p.m.

-Relax your way into Valentine’s Day weekend with Vinyasa, Vino and Valentine’s at Savannah Yoga Barre on Friday. Three instructors will lead the yoga session, then enjoy wine and chocolate afterward. Friday, 6-8 p.m.; $20 per person, $30 per couple.

-See beloved public radio personality Garrison Keillor live on stage at the Johnny Mercer Theatre. Keillor will perform his signature mix of humor, wisdom and music for the Savannah audience. Sunday, 7 p.m.; $35-65.

Molly’s picks:

-Hear from your favorite bestselling authors and discover new writers at the Savannah Book Festival all weekend long. Janet Evanovich will kick the festival off with an opening address, and P.J. O’Rourke and Anne and Christopher Rice will talk and sign books as well. Thursday-Sunday, full schedule here; prices vary.

-There’s still a month until St. Patrick’s Day, but the celebration starts this weekend with the Savannah Irish Festival at the Civic Center. Enjoy live music and traditional Irish dance, along with activities and crafts for kids. Friday-Sunday, full schedule here; $12 one-day ticket, $16 two-day pass, children under 14 free.

-Enjoy a romantic weekend in beautiful Savannah by taking advantage of special holiday deals at area hotels and restaurants. Check with your favorite restaurants and B&Bs for special events, and find hotel discounts...

-If you’d rather avoid the lovefest - or your true love is macabre literature - check out Savannah Stage Company’s “Poe” at Ampersand’s third floor. The play links the author’s life with two of his works, creating a production that’s both thriller and history lesson. If you miss it this weekend, productions continue all month. Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m.; $15 or pay what you can.
