Students from one of Georgia’s Historically Black Colleges, Savannah State University, hosted a march through downtown Savannah on Saturday. It was a response to the recent killing of an unarmed black man in Ferguson, Mo., by a white police officer - and, they say, an effort to raise awareness of racial injustice around the country. Marching with the mostly younger demonstrators was Rev. Jesse Blackshear, a former state representative from Savannah.
