Georgia Lottery officials say 35 players won prizes of $10,000 or more in the Powerball drawing.

Officials say David Jackson bought a ticket at the Georgia Food Mart in Riverdale and won $1 million in Wednesday's drawing.

Georgia Lottery says ticket sales this week translated to nearly $17 million for the HOPE Scholarship fund and for pre-kindergarten programs.

The Georgia Lottery has helped fund HOPE scholarships for over 1.4 million students, and preschool programs for over 1.2 million children.
