As more and more games are played the process of deciding who makes the cut becomes harder each week. The scale of potential vs. production is starting to tilt in the direction of production on the field, however you simply cannot ignore potential and who a player projects to be at the next level. Any list that fails to recognize a certain player or two that maybe isn’t doing it at the high school level, but is a “cannot miss” prospect at the college level shouldn’t be taken seriously. The Score 44 is fluid and constantly changing, but it tries to balance what is and what could be. This week finds Walton’s Zach Blaylock joining his brother on the list after Zach had two interceptions and scored a touchdown on offense in the Raiders’ victory over Etowah. Walton has two players on the list for 2011, but are already piling up players for the Score 44 2012 edition.
