Starting Sunday the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in Macon will be open seven days a week.

Museum officials say state budget cuts forced them to close the museum on Sundays and Mondays in the last year, but the cost savings were minimal and revenue was lost.

For now the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in Macon will continue to close two days a week.

The two state-owned facilities have seen their budgets cut dramatically in the last few years and there have been calls to remove funding altogether or move the two museum’s out of Macon.
