Georgia is inching up the ranks in foreclosure ranking.

RealtyTrac.com says the state ranked sixth in the nation during the first half of 2009. This is reported in today's Atlanta Business Chronicle.

Georgia’s foreclosure rate from January to June was 1.4 percent – 16 percent higher than the same period last year. That means foreclosure for one in 70 households.

The new report ranks Nevada with the worse foreclosure rate at 6.2 percent.
