Georgia Public Broadcasting, in partnership with the Dublin‑Laurens County Chamber Community Foundation, invites community members, leaders, and stakeholders to Childcare Counts: Data Driving Economic Growth, a special event focused on the critical role childcare plays in the economic and social well‑being of our region.

This gathering will feature a screening of a short documentary, followed by a panel discussion with local and statewide experts who will explore the intersections of childcare, workforce development, and community prosperity. Together, we’ll examine how access to quality childcare strengthens families, supports employers, and fuels long‑term economic growth.

The goals of the symposium are to:

• Highlight local achievements in advancing childcare solutions

• Raise awareness and urgency around ongoing community needs

• Equip stakeholders with practical action items to support families and providers

• Reframe childcare as essential economic development infrastructure
