This spring, join the Milk Street Cooking School team for a livestream cooking class to support public television. Whether you cook along with us or sit back and watch, you’ll get to pose your questions in real time to Milk Street’s own Rosemary Gill and April Dodd.

Cooking with spices is the single easiest way to change the way you cook. In this interactive livestream class, you’ll learn when to choose ground or whole spices, how and why to toast and bloom spices, and our never-fail approach to blending spices. We’ll demonstrate and discuss spice techniques and formulas to elevate and transform your cooking, no recipe needed. And during the optional cook-along, you'll test your new knowledge by making Spiced Butter Popcorn and Sri Lankan Deviled Cashews, which are our two favorite snacks of all time. Then, you'll design a custom spice blend and practice making a batch of our crowd-favorite Crispy Spiced Chickpeas. As we cook, we'll answer any and every question you have about spices, from sourcing to flavor.
