 virtual engagement event with author Kelli Jo Ford on August 26th as part
  of the dynamic\, sequel partnership with The Library of Congress for the
  2021 Library of Congress National Book Festival “Open a Book\, Open th
 e World.”\n\n\n\nKelli Jo Ford's debut novel-in-stories Crooked Hallel
 ujah (Grove Press) explores the lives and loves of a family of Cherokee w
 omen through four generations. \"Hybrid Vigor\,\" a story from Crooked Ha
 llelujah\, won The Paris Review's 2019 Plimpton Prize\, and the manuscript
  for Crooked Hallelujah won the University of Central Oklahoma's 2019 E
 verett Southwest Literary Award. Ford has been awarded a National Artist 
 Fellowship by the Native Arts & Cultures Foundation\, an Elizabeth George
  Foundation Emerging Artist Grant\, a Dobie Paisano Fellowship\, and a Kat
 harine Bakeless Nason Award in Fiction by the Bread Loaf Writers’ Confe
 rence. Ford lives in Virginia with her gifted poet husband Scott Weaver a
