As we continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month, we take a look at the first Latino American woman to receive a Kennedy Center Honors award, Chita Rivera.

Great Performances gives you Chita Rivera, a Broadway legend known for her roles as Anita in “West Side Story,” Rosie in “Bye Bye Birdie” and Velma in “Chicago.” Luminaries Dick Van Dyke, John Kander, Carol Lawrence, Ben Vereen and many more pay tribute to the dynamic singer, dancer and actress. This 60-minute career retrospective features interviews, archival performance footage and newly filmed songs from Rivera’s concert repertoire including “A Boy Like That,” “America,” “A Lot of Livin’ to Do,” “All That Jazz,” and “Nowadays.”
