(Event Date: Thu 12/15)   Thursday, at 7:30 pm, Augusta Entertainment presents “Broadway Christmas Wonderland.” This event is a family-friendly Broadway-style musical show, featuring a cast in glittering costumes performing Christmas classics. (Event Dates 12/15 – 23, 26)   This week, it’s the 25th annual “Christmas in Hopelands” at Hopelands Gardens on Dupree Place  in Aiken. This enchanting walk-through exhibit features over 2 miles of lighted pathways and holiday displays constructed with over 100,000 twinkling lights. Admission is free. (Event Date: Fri 12/16)   Friday, beginning at 5 pm, a Christmas-themed Candlelight Tour will be given of the childhood home of President Woodrow Wilson, located on 7th street. (Event date: Fri 12/16)   Friday, the Fabulous First Lady of Bluegrass returns to the Imperial Theatre to perform fan favorites and Christmas classics as part of The Southern Soul and Song Concert Series. Grammy-nominated Rhonda Vincent & The Rage takes to the stage in downtown Augusta at 7:30. More info and tix online at ImperialTheatre.com.

(Event Date: Sat 12/17)   Saturday afternoon from 1:00-6:00pm, The Umoja Festival takes place at The Paine College Heal Complex on Druid Park Avenue. The cultural event and marketplace takes its name from one of the 7 principles of Kwanzaa. Umoja translates to mean “unity”.  Vendors and artists from across the region are set to have displays. (Event date: Sun 12/18)    This year marks country music’s John Berry’s 20th year performing his annual Christmas tour—and you can be a part of it this Sunday at 7pm at Augusta’s Imperial Theatre. Berry’s amazing vocals on the title track of his 1995 CD–“O Holy Night”--are a major part of his enduring legacy and the source of the tour’s title.
