Congratulations to GPB's Emmy Nominees!
Primary Content
GPB has been recognized with 25 Emmy nominations by the Southeast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, which celebrates television excellence at the local and regional level, including media markets in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina and Asheville, NC.
Topping GPB’s nomination list this year is Overall Excellence, a special achievement award presented for excellence in the overall operations of a television station, news/sports cable system or online media outlet. Touting its vision to “Unite and Uplift” Georgia, GPB’s award submission for the category demonstrates how it serves the citizens of the state with rich stories of Georgia’s history and culture, educational content and resources, top-quality PBS programming, community engagement opportunities and public safety initiatives. GPB has previously won the Overall Excellence award in 2012, 2015 and 2017.
Along with the Overall Excellence nomination, GPB is being recognized with nominations in programming categories, including informational/instructional, arts/entertainment, historical/cultural, environment/science, and more. GPB also received nominations in several craft categories as well, including writing, graphics, editing and audio production and for branded content for the “It’s A Georgia Thing” campaign, launched in 2025 as part of GPB’s organizational rebrand.
The Southeast Emmy ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 16 in Atlanta.
