With the holiday season underway, now is the perfect time to reflect upon the past year and give our thanks. GPB, like stations across the country, faced new challenges with the closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in 2025. As donors like you are our most reliable source of revenue, we want to thank you during this Season of Giving for your ongoing support of Georgia Public Broadcasting. From our education initiatives and high school sports to local news and podcasts, GPB belongs to you, and your decision to support GPB year after year allows us to continue to serve Georgians across the state.

As part of our way of saying thank you, we want to remind you about our exclusive donor benefit, GPB Passport. Our streaming hub for all things GPB and PBS, the PBS App provides thousands of hours of TV content, including local favorites like A Fork in the Road and View Finders, as well as beloved national productions like Finding Your RootsAntiques Roadshow and dramas from MASTERPIECEWith GPB Passport, donors have access to even more: over 6,000 hours of programming.

It’s the perfect respite from a busy holiday season and a chance to relax, reconnect with your favorite characters and find out what life has in store for Eliza.

That happens to be quite a lot. For devoted Scarleteers (that’s the nickname for the Miss Scarlet fandom), you might remember that Season 5 ended with a marriage between Ivy and Mr. Potts, the departure of Patrick Nash and a new page turned in Eliza’s relationship with Detective Inspector of Scotland Yard, Alexander Blake. Season 6 opens with Eliza charting new territory: she’s still uncovering culprits for crimes across her area of London, but she’s keeping a rather important secret from her family, colleagues and friends. Eliza’s personal and professional lives are converging in ways she’s never encountered before, shaking her confidence and trust at times in both her detective skills and her emotions.

Thankfully, she’s not alone. While Eliza and Blake clashed early in Season 5, Season 6 opens with his support of Eliza’s detective skills. While his predecessor, William "The Duke" Wellington, seemed to doubt her at every turn, Blake’s encouragement of Eliza’s business is a refreshing change. Clarence and Ivy, once they understand what’s troubling Eliza, are also there to support her while encountering troubles of their own as Clarence struggles with feeling inadequate as Eliza’s employee and Ivy contends with living under one roof with both Mr. Potts and Eliza. Some familiar faces at Scotland Yard depart the show this season as new characters arrive, and one familiar face returns, as seen in the initial preview: fan-favorite Moses Valentine returns to London for a handful of episodes, both seeking Eliza’s help and offering his own.
