A Playful, Georgia Standards Aligned Digital Learning Experience

GASHA GO! World is a digital learning platform created by Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) in partnership with the Georgia Department of Education, FableVision Studios, and Georgia educators to build core computer science (CS), math, and literacy skills in children ages 5-8 through story driven games, animated videos, and hands-on activities.

Kids join the Gashlings, a cast of friendly characters who guide them through engaging, developmentally-appropriate challenges such as:

• Building paths to fix arcade machines or water plants (computational/algorithmic thinking)

• Choosing the right tool to clean up a mess (logical reasoning, problem-solving)

• Helping to decode passcodes (digital citizenship, computational thinking)

• Designing posters and learning spaces for everyone (creative communication, universal design)

Each game is aligned with Georgia Standards, giving children a fun way to build the same skills they are learning in school, whether they are playing at the library or continuing the adventure at home. Content is available in English and Spanish.

GASHA GO! World Learning Stations

Georgia Public Library Service (GPLS) and GPB have teamed up to create bright, arcade style desks that feature an iPad loaded exclusively with the GASHA GO! World app, accompanied by headphones, activity books, and informational pamphlets. Designed to spark curiosity, these stations invite kids and families to try the games in a playful, hands-on learning environment in the heart of the library.

By placing these Learning Stations in libraries across the state, we add an asset to build on libraries’ vibrant, interactive spaces that naturally draw families in. We are hopeful that as communities engage with GASHA GO! World learning experiences, library systems will be motivated to add the free games to their digital collections, expanding access to high quality learning play for Georgia families.

Why GASHA GO! World Matters for Kids & Families

Public Libraries: The Bridge Between School & Lifelong Learning

Libraries serve as vital “third places” where children continue to learn beyond school and home. GASHA GO! World Learning Stations enrich these spaces by encouraging more frequent visits and supporting academic aligned playful learning. They connect Georgia curriculum with library enrichment and high quality GPB educational tools. Together, these Learning Stations create dynamic digital environments where children build future-ready skills, families learn through play, and growth continues long after the school day ends.
