Nothing changed at the top of the state football rankings this week, but Class 2A got a nice shuffling.

No. 5 Dublin defeated No. 2 Bleckley County, 27-21; the Fighting Irish (4-1) jumped up to the No. 2 spot. No. 7 Jeff Davis (5-0) defeated No. 3 Fitzgerald, 29-20, and vaulted all the way to No. 3.

Other big movers were: Class 3A No. 2 Pierce County dropped a 28-7 decision to No. Toombs County and fell three spots to No. 5. In Class 6A, No. 2 Lee County lost to No. 1 Thomas County Central, 49-26, and fell five spots to No. 7.

There was movement at the bottom of the polls, too. In Class 3A, Hephzibah (No. 7), KIPP (No. 8) and Crisp County (No. 10) entered the rankings. In Class A, Washington-Wilkes broke through at No. 9. In the Private classification, Mount Vernon (No. 9) and Providence Christian (No. 10) joined the top 10.
