Football Fridays in Georgia checks in with Creekside head coach Maurice Dixon after the Seminoles’ perfect 15-0 season and 2025 Class 4A state championship. Jon Nelson and Hannah Goodin discuss Creekside’s record-setting offense, championship defense, national schedule, and what comes next for one of Georgia high school football’s most watched programs.
Creekside head coach Maurice Dixon joins the Football Fridays in Georgia podcast from summer practice in Fairburn, where the Seminoles are already working toward another trip to the 15th game. After beating Benedictine 42 to 39 for the 2025 Class 4A title, Creekside finished 15-0 and set a Georgia high school football record with 845 points.
Dixon reflects on the program’s rise from an 0-10 start in his first season to a championship standard built around consistency, toughness, and community pride. He talks about replacing key players, the return of Gary Walker, a strong offensive line, and the next wave of talent preparing to carry the Creekside identity forward.
Jon and Hannah also dig into Creekside’s fearless scheduling, including national matchups and a 2026 trip to play Saint Joseph Regional in New Jersey. For Coach Dixon, those challenges are part of the plan: test the Seminoles early, sharpen them against elite opponents, and keep building the Creekside brand from the South Side.
