Flag football continues its rapid rise in Georgia, and few programs reflect that growth better than North Oconee. The Titans captured a state championship last season and finished ranked among the top teams in the country.
Head coach Nicole O’Mara joins the Football Fridays in Georgia podcast to talk about the journey to a title, from building relationships with players to creating a competitive culture in just four years. She also explains how the sport is expanding at the youth level and why developing a middle school pipeline is the next step.
The conversation also looks at the bigger picture. Participation is climbing, more schools are adding programs, and college opportunities are beginning to emerge. For Coach O’Mara, the mission is simple. Keep growing the game and give more athletes a chance to play.
