Division 1

Washington County (14-6) vs. Harris County (23-3)

When: Monday, 11 a.m.

About Washington County: The Hawks closed the season with six straight wins. The top player is junior Jade Kitchens, who has thrown for 2,307 yards and 35 touchdowns and rushed for 1,563 yards and 12 touchdowns. Aeria Hagans leads the club with 94 receptions for 1,188 yards and 23 touchdowns.

About Harris County: The Tigers bring a five-game winning streak into the championship game. Quarterback Madalynn Cauley has passed for 5,356 yards and 89 touchdowns with only 10 interceptions and has rushed for 967 yards and nine touchdowns. The corps of receivers is led by Pearson Pettit, who has 116 catches for 1,694 yards and 28 touchdowns. Aubry Mertz has 14 touchdown receptions and Hannah Huff has 15 TD catches. 

Division 2

Jenkins (22-1) vs. Greenbrier (21-3)

When: Monday, 1 p.m.

About Jenkins: The Warriors’ only loss came to Groveton; the two teams split during the regular season and Jenkins won the rubber game 27-7 in the second round of the playoffs. They are trying to become the first girls team to bring home a state title.  A’Niyah Browner returns at wide receiver/linebacker; she was the Area 3 Offensive Player of the Year in 2024. I’Yarna Lee starts at quarterback and in the secondary. 

About Greenbrier: The Wolfpack has won two straight state champions. Greenbrier is led by sophomore quarterback Addisen Odom, who took over from Kenzie Horton’s graduation and has thrown for 3,396 yards and 54 touchdowns. Aaliyah Silver has 100 receptions for 872 yards and 16 TDs and Lexi Lacy has 58 receptions for 600 yards and 17 TDs.

 

Division 3

Whitewater (22-3) vs. North Oconee (22-3)

When: Tuesday, 10 a.m.

About Whitewater: Senior quarterback Jaelyn Stanley has thrown for 2,995 yards and 48 touchdowns and rushed for 530 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Wildcats have a pair of receivers with 100-plus catches – Lynn Thompson (126 receptions, 959 yards, 18 TDs) and Emma Morgan (119 receptions, 948 yards, 16 TDs). Thompson leads the team with 18 interceptions. Morgan has also rushed for 348 yards and seven touchdowns and leads the team with 96 tackles, along with eight interceptions. Sophomores Madyson Rhone also has 47 catches and 11 TDs and Parker Sopp has 16 interceptions. 

About North Oconee: The Titans have won 11 in a row since losing to McEachern, the Division 5 finalist, and eliminated four-time state champion Southeast Bulloch. Quarterback Catherine Cooper leads the offense and engineered the victory over SEB to avenge their loss in the 2023 final. Cooper was the starting QB last year when the Titans reached the championship game before losing to Greenbrier. 

 

Division 4

Milton (21-3) vs. Blessed Trinity (18-5)

When: Tuesday, noon.

About Milton: The Eagles beat BT 18-12 in the final game of the regular season and have powered through the playoffs, winning their four postseason games 129-12. Senior quarterback Audrey Jensen has thrown for 4,617 yards and 69 touchdowns and rushed for 147 yards and one touchdown. Junior Carolina Marshall has a whopping 150 catches for 1,977 yards and 26 touchdowns and Alana Calhoun has 86 catches for 1,261 yards and 31 TDs. Juniors Braelyn Swanick (87 tackles) and Jessie De Groodt (71) are tops on the defense.

About Blessed Trinity: The Titans lost three of their final four games – to Milton, North Oconee and Harris County, all state finalists – before knocking off McEachern in the finale. Senior Addie Spak has thrown for 3,531 yards and 58 touchdowns and leads the team with 192 yards rushing; she’s even caught 20 passes. Blessed Trinity has a pair of featured receivers who have at least 100 catches – Hannah Daley (118 receptions, 1,352 yards, 29 TDs) and Maggie Sullivan (108 receptions, 760 yards, 11 TDs), 

 

Division 5

McEachern  (22-2) vs. Pope (19-3)

When: Wednesday, 11 a.m.

About McEachern: The Indians won their first state championship a year ago. McEachern is led by junior quarterback Ava George, who has thrown for 4,161 yards and 56 touchdowns. Here favorite receivers are Desirae Holley (92 catches, 1,064 yards, 15 TDs), Ava Couzens (75 catches, 772 yards, eight TDs), freshman M Butler (68 catches, 772 yards, eight TDs) and Amari George (60 catches, 511 yards, 17 TDs). The Indians have outscored their four playoff opponents 127-0.

About Pope: The Greyhounds have won back-to-back state championships and bring a 17-game winning streak into the title game. Quarterback Abby Bensman, who threw a pair of touchdowns in the title game last year, is back to run the offense. Other veterans back including receivers Kate Davenport, Claire Huebecker and Ella Nixon.
