About Toombs County: The Bulldogs are the defending state champions and are No. 4 in the GHSA's Postseason Formula rankings. They are a balanced team that features running back Justin Powell (1,719 yards, 33 TDs) and quarterback Joseph Owens (2,319 yards, 19 TDs). Top defensive players include Hayden Roy (111 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, six sacks) and Alex Scott (86 tackles). Toombs’ only loss came against Class 5A semifinalist Rome. This is the first time in school history that the program has put together three consecutive double-digit winning seasons. 

About Worth County: The Rams like to put it in the air with quarterback Lyndon Worthy (2,804 yards, 27 TDs) and top receivers Jaquaveon Nelson and Jayden Farley, who both have nine TD catches. Kaden Chester has rushed for 1,369 yards. The defense is led by Brady Weaver (128 tackles, 36 tackles for loss) and Chance Sims (124 tackles, five interceptions). Worth County entered the playoffs No. 3 in the GHSA's Postseason Formula rankings. The Rams are trying to win their first state championship since 1982 under the legendary Milt Miller.
