Final slots in state flag football championships on the line
Primary Content
All four reigning state champions have advanced to the quarterfinal round of the flag football championships, leaving them just two wins away from reaching the title game at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The third-round and semifinal matchups in all five divisions will be played on Monday at 10 different sites throughout Georgia. The winners advance to the state championships in Atlanta, Dec. 15-17.
GPB.org will live stream coverage from the site at McEachern. At 5:30 p.m., McEachern will play Lithia Springs and at 6:40 p.m. Buford will play North Forsyth. The winners will meet at 7:50 p.m. to determine who goes to the state championship.
Coming back for another bite at the championship apple are Southeast Bulloch, Greenbrier, Pope and McEachern. It will not be possible for McEachern and Pope to both defend their titles since both now compete in the same division.
Southeast Bulloch has won four consecutive state titles. Greenbrier and Pope have both won two in a row.
