Von Lassiter of Bleckley County, Josh Alexander of Athens Academy and Jeff Ratliff of the Gatewood School are the latest members of the Century Club, as each has recorded the 100th win of their coaching career.

Josh Alexander won his 100th game at Athens Academy

Lassiter earned his 100th victory when Bleckley County defeated Jefferson County 50-0. In nine seasons at Bleckley County, Lassiter is 65-34 with three region championships. He began his career as a head coach by spending four seasons at Houston County, where he went 35-12 with one region championship from 2013-2016. Lassiter has guided four teams to the state quarterfinal round.

Alexander won his 100th game on Sept. 19 when the Spartans defeated Commerce 49-28. He added No. 101 this week by beating Oglethorpe County 43-21.

Alexander is in his 11th season at Athens Academy and has a career record of 101-24 with four region championships.  Athens Academy played for the state championship in 2017 and 2018.

Jeff Ratliff of Gatewood earned his 100th victory

Jeff Ratliff, who coaches at GISA’s Gatewood School in Eatonton, won his 100th game last week with a 13-10 victory over Mount de Sales. In 13 seasons at Gatewood, Ratliff’s teams are 101-54 with five region championships and three state titles (2018-2020).

The membership role for the Century Club could expand even more before the regular season is over. Tim Floyd of Jonesboro, Andy Dyer of Elbert County and Ron Duncan of Screven County each has 99 career wins.
