It was a big weekend for coaches to reach milestones for career victories. Four men hit historic numbers when their teams prevailed over the weekend.

Lovett’s Mike Muschamp earned his 200th victory, Carver-Atlanta’s Darren Myles collected win No. 150, and Derek Cook at Osborne and Josh Robinson at Northwest Whitfield both earned the 100th win of their careers.

Muschamp reached his milestone when the Lions defeated KIPP Atlanta 10-7. The victory improved Lovett’s record to 4-1 for the season. He is only the 69th coach to win 200 games in Georgia, according to the Georgia High School Football Historians Association.

Muschamp is in his 21st season at Lovett and has compiled a 175-81 record with three region championships and the 2013 state title. Lovett also played for the state title in 2007 and made three other trips to the semifinal round. He spent five seasons at Savannah Country Day and went 25-30 from 2000-04. His teams have made the playoffs every year since 2002.

Carver-Atlanta's Darren Myles picked up his 150th victory.

Myles won the 150th game of his career when Carver defeated rival Washington 44-0 at Lakewood Stadium. Only three Atlanta Public School coaches have more career wins than Myles, whose career record is 150-96.

Myles spent two seasons at Crim (2003-04) before going to Carver, where he has compiled a record of 144-82 with two region championships. Carver played for the state championship in 2022 and went to the semifinals two other times.

Cook reached the century mark for wins when Osborne downed South Cobb 22-21 to earn its first victory of the season. The Cardinals scored with 16 seconds left and kicked the winning extra point.

Cook has spent all of his career in Cobb County. He was 9-12 in two seasons at South Cobb (2006-07) and went to Kell, where he went 89-23 and won four region championships from 2008-16. Cook stepped aside to take a job in school administration but returned in 2004 when the Osborne job came open.

The Cardinals went 1-9 in Cook's return, their only victory coming against South Cobb.

Robinson joined the 100-win club when the Bruins defeated Gilmer 42-28 on Saturday in the Region 7-3A opener to improve to 4-1. Robinson is in his 15th season at Northwest Whitfield and has a mark of 100-59.

Robinson’s teams have been a model of consistency and have endured only one losing campaign since he became head coach in 2013. Northwest won nine games in 2024 under Robinson, matching the program’s best mark. He has taken the team to the playoffs 11 times.

Last season Northwest Whitfield celebrated the program's 300th victory.
