Each week during the Georgia high school football season, GPB spotlights overlooked players across the state. Check out this week's nominees.
Kaiden Stanciel | Dutchtown | LB | 2026
The 6'0" 220 LBS senior linebacker for the Dutchtown Bulldogs finished his junior season with 65 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and 11 quarterback hurries. A member of the Bulldogs' varsity football team since the 9th grade, Stanciel has found his rhythm on the field by playing multiple positions, including defensive tackle and defensive edge. He's not only successful on the field, but also academically, where he maintains a 3.5 GPA.

Ashton Turner | Grayson | RB | 2027
The 5'8" 200 LBS junior running back for the Grayson Rams is a physical player with downhill speed and vision that allows him to make big plays. Even while playing in the state's largest classification and among a stacked team of senior running backs, Turner finished his sophomore season with 101 carries for 512 All-Purpose yards and five touchdowns. His success on the field continues this season, where he's already accumulated over 200 All-Purpose yards and one touchdown. Off the field, he has a 3.0 GPA.

Decorey Crumbley | Eastside | DT | 2027
The 5'10" 240 LBS junior defensive tackle for the Eastside Eagles has had a passion for the game of football since the age of six. A member of the varsity team since the 9th grade, Crumbley received the 'Newcomer of the Year' award as a freshman and First-Team All-Region Honors, both years he's played. While balancing his football commitments, he's maintained a 3.4 GPA.

Benjamin Plemons | Chestatee | RB/MLB | 2026
The 5'9" 190 LBS senior running back and middle linebacker for the Chestatee War Eagles has 409 rushing yards for five touchdowns, 26 tackles, and two interceptions, so far on the season. He finished his junior season with 1,524 rushing yards for 17 touchdowns, 11 receptions for 182 yards, and two touchdowns. Plemons is not only outstanding on the field but also in the classroom, where he boasts an impressive 3.9 GPA.

Noah Stanley | Utopian Academy | WR/DB | 2026
The 6'1" 185 LBS senior wide receiver and defensive back for the Utopian Academy Eagles has nine receptions for 65 yards with one touchdown, eight total tackles, and three interceptions, so far on the season. Stanley has experienced several transfers and sacrifices, but that has not stopped him from performing on the field. Just this past week, MaxPreps placed him on the Stat Leaders list for interceptions, ranking him among the top 20 in the state.

Chance Ross | Jasper County | RB | 2027
The 6'1" 225 LBS junior running back for the Jasper County/Monticello Hurricanes works just as hard off the field as he does on the field. In the weight room, he squats 550, benches 315, and power cleans 305. In three games, Ross has 65 carries for 416 yards, averaging 6.4 yards per carry and two receptions for 35 yards with one touchdown. Head Coach Ashley Henderson describes him as a "great young man full of character and work ethic."

Presley Carr | North Paulding | WR | 2027
The 5'10" 165 LBS junior wide receiver for the North Paulding Wolfpack is coming off a big game against Cherokee, where he helped lead his team to victory with six catches for 119 receiving yards and two touchdowns. A first-year varsity starter, Carr is not afraid of hard work and is continuously looking to improve his skills by attending camps during the Summer and running rigorous drills.
He has a 3.8 GPA.
