The 2025 Georgia high school football season is underway, and GPB Sports' quest to shine the spotlight on overlooked football players across the state continues with 'Make That Kid An Offer." Check out GPB's nominees for the week of September 1.

 

Seth Lerner, Roswell, LS

Seth Lerner | Roswell | LS | 2026

The 5'11" 226 LBS Kohl's 4.5 star long snapper for the Roswell Hornets is a 4-year varsity starter that's dedicated to the game. He is ranked among the best for his consistency and accuracy on long snaps with an impressive streak of 311/312 and no missed snaps in three varsity seasons. His skills earned him 2024 Second Team All-Region and Honorable Mention LS in Region 7-6A as a sophomore in 2023, as well as multiple recognitions at special teams’ camps and combines. He was also named starting offensive guard for the 2025 football season, showcasing his flexibility on the field.

Lerner balances his football commitments all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA, volunteering at youth football camps, and never shying away from mentoring younger athletes as they transition into the program.

Braylon Hill, Cartersville, RB

Braylon Hill | Cartersville | RB | 2026

The 5'8" 168 LBS senior running back for the Cartersville Purple Hurricanes may be on the smaller side, but he runs at you like a giant. A recent transfer, Hill finished his junior season at Cass with 175 touches, 1,175 yards, and 13 touchdowns. His standout season landed him on the NWGA Leading Rushers list, with an average of 97.5 yards per game. In Cartersville's season opener against Columbia, he helped lead the team to a 44-0 victory, with two rushing touchdowns. His performance earned him 'Back of the Week.'

Taylor Sanders, Baker County, QB/S

Taylor Sanders | Baker County | QB/S | 2027 

The 5'10" 172 LBS junior dual-style quarterback and safety for the Baker County Bears has found his rhythm after playing multiple positions and transferring. In the team's season opener against David Emmanuel Academy, he threw for 197 yards, had 142 rushing yards, and four touchdowns, despite weather delays. Last season, he earned the 'Most Improved Player' award after finishing the season with two rushing touchdowns and one interception. Over the summer, he attended several camps to work on his skills as a quarterback and move closer to his goal of playing at the next level.

Colton Sanford, Adairsville, SS/WR

Colton Sanford | Adairsville | SS/WR | 2026

The 5'9" 175 LBS senior strong safety and wide receiver had an interception, a touchdown, and one blocked field goal attempt in the team’s season opener against Allatoona. Sanford concluded his junior season with nearly 200 receiving yards, averaging 14 yards per game, and scored three touchdowns, earning him First-Team All-Region honors and several team accolades throughout the season. Sanford is a versatile player, with the ability to return kicks and punts, while making a difference on defense. Last season, he had 73 tackles, three sacks, three interceptions, and one fumble recovery. Off the field, he has a 3.9 GPA and is ranked in the top 40 in his class.

Ayden Ashlock, Dalton, TE/DE

Ayden Ashlock | Dalton | TE/DE | 2027 

The 6’3" 225 LBS junior tight end and defensive end for the Dalton Catamounts started the 2025 season off with a bang. In his first game against North Murray, Ashlock scored two touchdowns for over 70 yards -- one late in the fourth quarter -- and was responsible for a fumble recovery. He was named 'Comeback Player of the Year' for the 2024 season. 

When he's not training or working on his craft, Ashlock enjoys playing basketball.

Conley Goodlife, St. Pius X, WR/CB

Conley Goodlife | St. Pius X | WR/CB | 2027

The 6'2", 175 LBS junior wide receiver and corner back for the St. Pius X Golden Lions produces when it matters. Goodlife showed off his elite-route running and ball tracking skills when he hauled in a 54-yard touchdown reception during the Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic on August 16th, helping lead his team to a 15–12 win over Dunwoody. In the off-season, Goodlife's commitment to the game continues. This past summer, he attended several 7v7 camps, including Grind Factory, Georgia Tech, and Ohio State, where he worked on speed, strength, and technical development.

Jaxon White, Heard County, DT

Jaxon White | Heard County | DT | 2026

The 6'1" 285 LBS senior defensive tackle for the Heard County Braves is the type of player to leave it all out on the field. Having played the game since he was five years old, White has a passion for football with the accomplishments to back it up. As a junior, he was named First Team All-Region, Defensive Lineman of the Year, and received Player of the Game multiple times. His accolades have continued on into his senior season, where he earned Defensive Player of the Week due to his performance in the team's win over Clarkston, where he had five tackles and three and a half tackles for loss.
