Savannah Christian took advantage of losses by a couple of higher-ranked teams and jumped into the No. 1 spot in the Private classification of the GPB Sports Top 10.

Savannah Christian improved to 3-0 after defeating Mount Paran Christian 22-7 on the road. The Raiders were able to move up from No. 3 to No. 1 after the teams ahead of them – Prince Avenue Christian and Hebron Christian – were beaten.

The Raiders, who compete in Class A Division I during the regular season, remained at No. 3 those rankings.

The other No. 1s remained changed: Grayson in 6A, Hughes in 5A, North Oconee in 4A, Calhoun in 3A, Carver-Columbus in 2A and Toombs County in Class A Division I.

The biggest shakeup came in Class 2A, where three new teams entered the rankings: Sumter County at No. 8, Appling County at No. 9 and Cook at No. 10.
