Mr. Robert Gibbs was born on May 7, 1919. Mr. Gibbs was a Commander in the Navy whose tour of duty included both the Atlantic and the Pacific. He served on both destroyers and submarines. Mr. Gibbs recollects various rescue missions aboard the destroyers and gives vivid descriptions of life on a submarine.
