Nita Ailion

Ms. Nita Ailion was born January 29, 1921 in Memphis, Tennessee. She served with the WAVES as a Petty Officer 2nd Class Yeoman. In her interview Ms. Ailion remembers how eager she was to join the WAVES, what it was like to be a woman in the military, and what it was like to be able to work alongside her father during her time of service.
