James H. Young was born in August of 1924. He served in the Army where he saw combat at D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Young remembers combat so persistent he had to keep his boots on for two weeks, getting seasick on D-Day, and capturing a bedridden German lieutenant.
