Mr. Donald Burgess, born July 13, 1924, is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was an aviation machinist and an enlisted aerial navigator during the World War II. Mr. Burgess tells about the “forgotten war” fought on American soil in the Aleutians and Kodiak. Mr. Burgess’ experiences also include engagements on Tenyan, Saipan, Iwo Jima and Attu.
