The Woodwright's Shop

Since introducing The Woodwright's Shop to PBS viewers more than 20 years ago, Roy Underhill has taken his unabashed enthusiasm for traditional American woodworking to fans week in and week out. He may be more anachronistic than anarchistic, but the word "subversive"still fits. For more than two decades, Roy has shunned electrical shortcuts. Instead of cutting corners when cutting corners, he takes the time to understand and appreciate his craft. Using brains, brawn and more than a bit of wit, Roy turns on his imagination and turns out practical, whimsical and, above all, memorable woodworking projects.
