Why We Sing! simpultaneously explores the power of singing and the history of the 30-year-old gay and transgender rights movement. In various interviews, singers talk about what motivates them. Some sing out of pure joy, others for the sense of community singing cultivates, and others still are inspired by the quest for justice, equality and tolerance.
