The People v. Leo Frank: A Georgia Roundtable
The People v. Leo Frank is a national docu-drama about the murder of 13-year-old Mary Phagan of Marietta and the subsequent trial, conviction, and lynching of Leo M. Frank, her supervisor at the Atlanta Pencil Factory. Immediately following the film, stay with GPB for an in-depth discussion of the issues with a panel of Georgia experts.

Moderated by Stan Deaton, Senior Historian at the Georgia Historical Society, a panel of experts will talk about the Leo Frank lynching and place it in historical and contemporary contexts:
- Steve Oney is a journalist and author of the prize-winning book And the Dead Shall Rise: The Murder of Mary Phagan and the Lynching of Leo Frank. Steve acted as chief consultant for Ben Loeterman's documentary, The People v. Leo Frank, and appeared throughout the film as a commentator.
- Roy Barnes is a former governor of Georgia, serving from 1999 to 2003, an attorney and a lifelong student of the Frank case. He also has a personal connection to the case.
- Matthew Bernstein is director of graduate studies in the Film Studies Department at Emory University. He's also the author of Screening a Lynching: The Leo Frank Case on Film and Television.
