From a Member Perspective: Why I Am a Murrow Society Member
- "I have very definite devotions to Georgia Public Broadcasting. The quality, preparation, and selection of GPB's programs are outstanding and I know that takes money. I am particularly fond of the Britcoms."
- "Supporting GPB by being a Murrow member just makes sense. And I really enjoy the Murrow activities."
- "We joined GPB for the quality programming. We joined because public broadcasting offers a selection and a decency that we found nowhere else. We had a baby in 1990, and she quickly became a Barney fan. I enjoyed Sesame Street, Nova, and nature programming… there's so much that we like, it would be hard to pick a single favorite…"
- "My wife and I originally joined GPB's Murrow Society because neither of us are fans of commercial television. We watch and value public television; we like the variety of shows. Recently we had a child, so in addition to our original reason for supporting GPB, we continue to be members with our daughter's future in mind. We also very much enjoy Murrow Society activities and try to attend as many as possible. They make being a member of GPB much more personal and meaningful."
