Since graduating from Clark Atlanta University with a Master of Social Work in May 2008, I have founded Breaking the Cycle Beating the Odds (BCBO), an organization that seeks to empower women to become self aware of their negative behavioral cycles in order to reach for their fullest potential in life.
I am presenting my copyrighted 12 Step Self Awareness Model (SAM) in local and national conferences, including the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). I am writing proposals to present my 12 step module to as many as 20 conferences outside the state of Georgia. I am being sought out for speaking engagements at churches, schools, colleges and conferences. I am planning a 20 city tour in 2011.
I am studying for my social work license, while preparing to apply for 501C3 status in order to apply for grants for the financial growth of Breaking the Cycle, Beating the Odds.
I am currently writing my life story in an autobiography, due to be released early 2010. In addition, I am preparing to put together a manual of all my workshops after the book is completed.
I am the creator and main facilitator of a free bi-weekly, 3 hour mentoring program, "12 Steps Toward Self Awareness Mentoring Program". This program is designed to empower women to become self aware of their cycles while giving them some tools to help them. And last, I will be pursuing my doctorate degree in Social Work next fall 2010 at Clark Atlanta.
