The Railway Children

Based on a 1906 novel by E. Nesbit, The Railway Children is a heartwarming drama in the spirit of Anne of Green Gables. Set at the turn of the century, three upper-class Edwardian children and their mother move to a country house after their father is mysteriously taken away by the police. Their mother refuses to tell the children the exact nature of their circumstances. Suddenly poor, the family is forced to become resourceful and the children learn the value of being helpful to others as well. Fascinated by the nearby railway, the children wave to the passengers faithfully every day and befriend one old gentleman in particular. Can he help solve the mystery of their missing father?
