LINCOLNTON - Prep Sports Plus Classic Playback” - Larry Campbell’s 300th Win

We travel back in time to 1997 for this week’s “Prep Sports Plus Classic Playback.” We were in Lincolnton on November 14th for Lincoln County High and Georgia Coaching Great Larry Campbell’s 300th Coaching Victory.

McEachern High is off to there best gridiron start since 1999. Averaging nearly 43 points-per game, the Indians are 7 & 0 and back in the Top 10 in Class AAAAA.

MARIETTA

Lassiter High senior quarterback Hutson Mason is making a name for himself in Georgia High School football history. Last Friday night, Mason set the all-time single game passing mark breaking a 32-year old record and is within reach of the Georgia record for passing yards in a single season. We recognize Hutson Mason as this week’s “Cream of the Crop,” our look at one of Georgia’s senior football standouts.

We visit with the Walton High Marching Band as they practice and prepare to march in the “Granddaddy of them All,” the 2010 Tournament of Roses Parade.

ELLIJAY

Gilmer High junior Hannah Kelly is a 2-sport athlete for the Bobcats – Cross Country and Soccer. Kelly would like to attend college majoring in special education. Currently, Kelly sports a 4.0 GPA ranking her #1 in her junior class and is well on her way to accomplishing her academic goals. We recognize Hannah Kelly as this week’s “Academic Athlete of the Week.”
