NORCROSS

For the first time in school history, Wesleyan has made it to the state football semifinals. The Wolves will play Lincoln County at home Friday night for the chance to go for the Class A title next week in the Georgia Dome.


MARIETTA

Walton High senior Michael Boydston/RB completed his career rushing this season for over 1,800 yards and David Paulsen/TE-DE finished up with 57 tackles in 2008 while playing on both sides of the ball. Together, Boydston and Paulsen are this week’s “Cream of the Crop” recognizing two of Georgia’s senior football standouts.


AMERICUS – WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

We catch up with one of Georgia’s all-time greats, Americus High’s Fabian Walker. Walker finished his career #2 in Career Passing yards and #3 in TD Passes. Today, Walker works for the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice in Fayetteville.


SPARTA

With four seniors graduated from last season’s team, Hancock Central High will look a bit different this season except at one key position. After a sensational junior season averaging 18 points and 12 rebounds per game, , a Georgia Tech commit, returns to help the Bulldogs defend their Boys Class A title.


LILBURN

Berkmar High senior Troy Davis has been a 4-year competitor for the Patriots football program while doing his best in the classroom with a 3.3 GPA while scoring over 1300 on the SAT. We recognize Troy Davis, a recent verbal commit to play and study at the University of Central Florida, as this week’s “Academic Athlete of the Week.”
