The Miller County High Pirates are continuing their winning ways under second year head football coach Frank Killingsworth. The Pirates are 7 & 1 in the 2008 campaign and ranked as one of the better programs in Class A.


SUWANEE

North Gwinnett High senior Michael Tamburo/QB is known for being physically and mentally tough and a solid leader. During his time leading the Bulldog offense, Tamburo and his mates have compiled a 31 & 5 record. We recognize Michael Tamburo as this week’s “Cream of the Crop” recognizing one of Georgia’s senior football standouts.


COVINGTON

Eastside High senior Brittany Gaynes is in the running to be recognized as the Georgia and National Cheerleader of the Year. With a 96.2 GPA, Gaynes is known as one of the top academic athletes at Eastside. We recognize Brittany Gaynes as this week’s “Academic Athletes of the Week.”
