The People's Palace

The People's Palace examines the astounding wealth of information contained within The New York Public Library system, an elaborate network of branch libraries and research centers scattered throughout the city's five boroughs. The documentary begins with the library's founding at the turn of the 20th century and progresses through to recent modernization efforts. The People's Palace offers a glimpse at some of the priceless texts and artifacts in the library's collection, including a draft of the Declaration of Independence.
