Georgia native Sue Monk Kidd’s “The Secret Life of Bees” was a bestseller that was adapted into a critically acclaimed film. Her more recent book, “The Invention of Wings” was recently released in paperback. It’s a historical novel that tells the story of two abolitionist sisters and a family slave with themes that resonate in today’s racial climate. Kidd joins host Celeste Headlee to talk about the true story that inspired her writing and her Peach State roots.
