Georgia is lending a hand in the emergency recovery and cleanup effort from the effects of Hurricane Irene along the East Coast. Over the weekend, Fort Stewart sent nine of its Black Hawk helicopters to New York state. And Georgia Power and Georgia EMC's sent crews up the East Coast to help in restoring electricity in affected.
The tornadoes and thunderstorms that tore through the South Wednesday and Thursday morning left a mess for residents and state and local governments to clean up. Cleaning experts offer suggestions as residents begin to recover.
