The state Board of Regents has approved $2 million in renovations for the College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick. The board included $2 million for the work in its 2014 capital budget request for the renovation the school's Academic Commons South building.
College boosters looking for clues as to what state universities could be merged got little help in a recently adopted set of principles. Savannah and Armstrong Atlantic State Universities are perennial merger targets because they are close together.
