The brother of the 20-year-old man who police say went to an Atlanta-area school heavily armed and exchanged gunfire with officers before surrendering says he was a normal kid growing up, but began to change as a teenager and engage in threatening behavior. The older brother's comments came two days after a school bookkeeper helped persuade Michael Hill to surrender to police following a frightening standoff and shooting Tuesday.

Police said Michael Brandon Hill held one or two staff members in the front office of McNair Discovery Learning Academy captive Tuesday for a time, making one of them call a local TV station. As officers swarmed the campus outside, he shot at them at least a half a dozen times with an assault rifle from inside the school and they returned fire.

Prosecutors are asking a judge to impose a gag order in the case of a Brunswick teenager charged with fatally shooting a baby in the face. District Attorney Jackie Johnson filed the request Wednesday saying it’s necessary to ensure a fair trial for the 17-year-old suspect.

The defense attorney for a 15-year-old charged with felony murder in a baby's slaying in Georgia says he should be tried separately from an older teen accused of shooting the toddler in the face. Attorney Kimberly L. Copeland said Tuesday she believes her client, Dominique Lang, is "more of a witness than a defendant."

The grandmother of a 15-year-old charged with murder in a baby's shooting death says her grandson would never get involved in such a crime. Dominique Lang and 17-year-old De'Marquise Elkins are charged with killing 13-month-old Antonio Santiago in Brunswick, Ga., on Thursday while the baby was in a stroller as he and his mother were taking a walk.
