The Kell Longhorns were reclassified to the Class AAAA-level before the start of this season ,and that could be just the edge the Longhorns need to go the furthest the team has ever reached come November and playoff time.
People always say that without the sour, the sweet is never as sweet. Well, the folks at Cross Keys High School have had enough sour in their time that these last two weeks have been as sweet as it can get.
It was homecoming night at Centennial’s Fortress but the festivities took a bit of a hit after the Wolverines of West Forsyth took advantage of some early turnovers to lead 23-0 after the first quarter en route to a 43-7 victory.
Washington 35, Riverwood 21: Justin Taylor ran for 206 yards and a touchdown for visiting Washington (3-1) in its win over Riverwood (1-4). Quarterback Renard Battle ran and passed for a touchdown for the Bulldogs, and wide receiver Zack Witchett had two touchdowns as well.
