Alabama Routs Ga. State in Football

Greg McElroy completed 12 of 13 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns and No. 10 Alabama routed fledgling Georgia State 63-7 on Thursday night. It's the most points for the Crimson Tide (9-2) since a 66-3 win over Vanderbilt in 1979.

Braves Trade For All-Star Uggla

The Atlanta Braves have made a trade to bolster its offense. The team has acquired power-hitting and All-Star second baseman Dan Uggla from the Florida Marlins. In return, the Braves give up All-Star utility player Omar Infante, and young pitcher Mike Dunn.

Kennesaw St. Students Approve Football Fee

Kennesaw State University is one step closer to getting a football team. Students have voted to support a $100 fee per semester to pay for a football program and expand women's sports.
