    A spokesman for the Georgia Board of Regents says the board has not approved any renovation work done at the president's home at Georgia Regents University in several years. But a variety of renovations completed since June 2010 amount to about $284,000.

    Military officials say the Army is expanding its hospital at Fort Stewart for the first time since it was completed more than three decades ago. The Savannah Morning News reports that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District broke ground on the $23.1 million expansion of Winn Army Community Hospital on Monday. It's expected to be completed in September 2013.
