Two committees have been formed as part of a national search for the next president of Middle Georgia State College. Currently, John Black is serving as interim president of the college with campuses in Macon, Cochran, Dublin, Eastman and Warner Robins.

A committee searching for the University of Georgia's next president has narrowed the field of candidates to nine. The committee’s chairman didn’t release names but said all are currently in the academic world.

The chairman of the search committee looking for a new president for the University of Georgia says the field is down to a dozen candidates. But state Board of Regents member and search committee Chairman Larry Walker said more applicants could be added to the list before the final cuts are made.
